Our Year Group News – 4th May 2017

Right now we are very busy preparing for 'Cake Week' next week (shhhh - don't mention SATS)! We are planning a special extended PE session on the afternoon of Thursday 11th May, when all the tough assessments will be over - let’s hope the weather is kind to us on the day!

Of course, we are all especially looking forward to our residential trip to Sneaton, near Whitby; we set off on Tuesday 16th May so there really isn’t long to wait, now!

General Information

PE and Games lessons

These are usually on a Monday and a Thursday. Please ensure your child has the appropriate, labelled kit in school.

Homework

As in previous years, please listen to your child read as often as possible each week, help them to practise and learn their tables and spellings and encourage them to practise their Maths on Mangahigh.

Please be aware that additional homework is given out every Friday and the children are rewarded for handing their completed work in on a Monday morning. At times, your child may be given extra homework to practise particular skills. Please remember to check and sign your child's homework diary every weekend. There are homework deadlines, useful reminders and details of upcoming events for you to see.
