FAQ’s

As we progress through this sitation we are going to find that questions will be directed to us, some of which will be common to many families.

Please see below those questions that we have deemed to be common or frequently asked, with our responses given below.

What if my child has an underlying health condition?

Updated:17th March 2020

If your child has an underlying health condition which you feel could be exacerbated by COViD-19, we would recommend that you take precautions to prevent your child coming in to contact with as few a people as possible.

If you feel that the school environment poses a risk, we fully support your decision to keep your child at home.

Please contact your school in the usual way to report your child's absence.

Will my child’s residential to Cranedale still go ahead?

Updated:  17th March 2020

We have been contacted by the Centre’s Director who has informed us that on the advice and guidance of Public Health England, the centre has been told to operate as usual.

  • The Centre is asking schools to ensure that all children, who will be in attendance, have not had any symptoms of COViD-19 before they leave for the Centre.
  • They have arrangements in place if anyone develops symptoms and should need to self-isolate whilst at the Centre.
  • The Centre is undergoing additional high level cleans using across its site, especially ‘high contact’ areas like table surfaces, door handles, washrooms etc.

As our schools will be the only ones in attendance at the centre we are therefore planning, at this moment, to continue with the visit.  Obviously things are changing rapidly and should there be any change our decision will be reflected accordingly.

Will my child’s residential to Robinwood still go ahead?

Updated: 17th March 2020

Currently all booked residentials are still going ahead, although this situation will be re-evaluated on a daily basis. As this particular residential is still over 6 weeks away, it is very difficult to say at this point what the national guidance will be.  We will continue to update this information as and when furhter guidance is given.
