Miss Evans, Mrs Cawley, Mrs Clayden, Mrs Matthews, Mrs Boswell, Mrs Shepherdson and the children welcome you to Class 3's page!
This term we will develop our understanding of chronology in our topic lessons so that we can understand where Roman Britain fits into British history. We will go right back to finding out about the stone age, bronze age and iron age and find out what life was like during these times. We will spend time finding out about what Britain was like before the Romans arrived and then look at how Britain changed so much when the Romans arrived. We will talk about the term ‘legacy’ and think about the things that we use today that were introduced by the Romans.
In Numeracy we will continue to have our daily CLIC sessions. During our Numeracy lessons we will be focusing on, addition, subtraction and place value of money, area, perimeter and capacity, angles, the 24 hour clock and fractions of amounts.
In Literacy this term we will be building on a variety of skills, including using different punctuation, learning how to analyse different text types and broadening our vocabulary.

Tropical Rain Forest Poem
As a result of our recent Tropical Rain Forest theme Libby Young, one of our Year 4 pupils, produced the above poem in her spare time. Well done Libby for such a wonderful piece of poetry.
